Pick up the rear end so both tires are in the air and try to rotate one tire backwards. Reason I say this because I've seen where a car sat for a while and after it would roll forward but not backwards and it was due to the e-brake.

It will not slip, it will not engage. Could be the clutch itself or sealing rings on the stator support but the oil is not able to engage the clutches either way.
